WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF COMMISSIONING A PAINTING?
Commissioning a painting can be a very beneficial option for those looking to acquire art. First and foremost, clients can purchase a unique piece to capture a view of their favourite portrait or landscape, or to find a painting with the perfect mood, colour palette and size for their space. This personalised approach ensures a deeper connection with the artwork, creating a lasting bond that will be cherished for years to come.
WHAT CAN I COMMISSION?
If you are interested in a commissioned painting, I offer bespoke paintings in my usual landscape/portrait style and colour palette. The works are available in different sizes. They can be made from a reference photo, a similar work that I have already painted. If you have a specific vision, please email me and I will do my best to bring your idea to life on canvas. Thank you for your interest.
How much does a commission cost?
First, we discuss the subject, size, and other details of the painting, and I will create a contract with the commission details.
Prices vary depending on size and material, please contact me for more information.
50% of the cost is due prior to the start of work, and the remaining 50% is due upon completion of the painting, prior to shipping (or at the time of receipt, for local pickups).
The deposit is non-refundable, with the rest due upon delivery of the artwork. (If for some reason you need to back out of the project, your deposit can be applied to any original art on my website.)
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
The timeframe for completion of the painting is contingent on its size and the number of other projects that are underway. Smaller paintings can be completed and shipped within two months, while larger paintings may take several months. If you have a deadline in mind, such as a holiday gift, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate you.
